Working Life # 2

Friends who know me well, knowing that i planned well everything in my life...ok, almost everything as i wished. I know i can't and unable to control people's schedule, life but i can plan mine. So unless there is unexpected issues pop out, if not, i will try to be the last minute person.

I know some of my files will due next Friday, I ensure they are in progress with just clearing some point and preparation letter to client. This morning, i was called by SM to the office and asked me:

• SM: So how, Paige. Can u cope with the files?
• P : ...(obviously yes but why she asked? 'cope with the files'? ' my files? or other's files?) Yes, i can cope well with MY FILES SO FAR.
• SM: Good, i have 2 files here for u.
• P : (knowing wasn't good when she ask me to her office and talked in nice tune) What file? When is the deadline?
• SM: Next week. And for your information, we need at least 2 days courier to reach client's place.
• P : What? 2 days, send and received means 4 days for courier?
• SM: U can said so.
• P : I left only 7 days including weekends, minus out 4 days courier, one day review, meaning to say i left only 2 days to analyze tax computation, gather information with 2 NEW FILE?
• SM: Yes, u can said so. It is super urgent.
• P : ....i don't think i can make it. I didn' even glance through the files yet and i have pending files on hand.
• SM: Don't worry, they are only little information needed. You can learn much , and u can asked guidance or assistance.
• P : (How? Everyone was so busy, that's why i have these files, isn't it? Then who can still guide me at this super-duper peak hour?).....since there is no possible to turn down this 2 files, i will try my best but not guarantee.
• SM: Ok sure. Anything u can just come to me.
• P : (of course u said so la.....u need help ma......) ok thanks.

When i about to leave her office.....

• SM: Anyway, are u coming in this weekends?
• P : .........(about to tell but she stop me.)
• SM: Actually the files were very urgent lo.
• P : (obviously she is waiting for her desire reply)...ya, but i think i wil only come in the morning on Saturday. As for Sunday, if u guys come in, i will scheduled my time also.

Then, i realised time not flies, time ZOOM. I just clearing some points of my own previous file, my watch showed 2pm. Then when i passed my files for review. I started the new company. The centralised air con off make me realised it is already 5.30pm and i just move on to second section.

Knowing that i have no time for dinner at all, i went to the pantry and grab some bites and continues my workload. SM came to me at around 9.30pm, asked ' how is it? What are u busying now?' . (foolish question, does she diagnose STML?). When i turnaround and looked at her, she is actually done packing her bag, about to leave. I just looked at her, (SM, how is my file ah? Got problem ah?) she answered, no la, i will bring back and review. Then she left the office......

What a world.!!! Never mind, i can learn more, And i can apply for more hours for studies later. Gannbatte ne!!!

Working Life # 1

Hey, Im back again after leaving this blog out-dated for days. Today i worked till 11pm as usual. Another deadline approaching, and it is tomorrow - 6 August 2010. Last week 30 July 2010 is deadline on e-filing submission. And we need to fill in form C and form R manually. Yes, i can say it is quite tedious and the clients' signing pages always be a barriers for us to proceed.

Tomorrow is another deadline. I have 3 companies to be submit this deadline, 1 has been submitted today, another 2 are waiting for tomorrow submission. It was really quite a mess in tax department lately. Everyone was rushing up and down. Even admin people were trained to assist tax department to fill in the forms.

Next week will be the companies which successfully apply for extention. Yes, i have several companies under this advantage. (Actually i wonder is it an advantage for me, does it show my inability to finish them al on time or? Haha, this time i shall put some blame on client as i received information only 3 days before the July deadline and this lead to the extention application) And i feel thankful that i got extention on these files, if not, i wonder where am i now?!

During my experience, i dealt with various type of client. Some client just co-operate with us and provide detail information on time; some ...not. I complaint and one of the top management told me this:

• M: Call this client for more information, pushing them so that they give u on time.
• P: This client? Quite hard lo, she won't give on time one and scold people first once u ask
• her more information.
• M: Ya meh. Then u should act sympathy towards this type of client.
• P: Arhhh? How? When she start scolding, then suddenly i act like little sheep ah?
• M: Aiya, no la. Just act sympathy lo.
• P: Then how?
• M: Aiya, u have no experience to deal with this type of client la.
• P: .....(Of course la, i only here for less than 2 months)
• M: I think u haven't met someone more bad temper one lo.
• P: No lo. I met one client, i just told her where i come from. she start scolding nonstop d. And i need to leave my phone away from my ears for at least 5 minutes before i started my queries lo. I totally don't have the chance to talk, how to act sympathy?
• M: ah!! like that ah. Which client? Oh, that one is it. That client need compliment from people one.
• P: ...(did i just say she scold non-stop? So how to praise her?) praise? How? I get scolded for no reasons, i don't really know how to get myself to praise her. In my mind is 'scold' 'scold' 'scold'...ok, want compliment? i can only think of 'Wah, your voice sound so 'merdu' when u scold people lo'
• M: .....(speechless)

p/s: i know i shouldn't but trust me, this M really can make u jump over the high wall when u 'force' to communicate with her.

Time flies. Ya, i always do mention 'Time Flies'. Finally, the 'graduation' fever 'burning' my working day life....

I took 2 days off to attend MMY rehearsal (although ended up i din even manage to enter the hall). I wonder why is there so many procedures to be done on rehearsal day - robe collection, student card activation, invitation card collection as well as car sticker. So i would like to make explanation on why i failed to attend the rehearsal XD

After the rehearsal thingy, our 'long-time-no-see' coursemate suggested to have a short gathering. So we decided to have our lunch at old town. Thete were a lot of them who attend the gathering.....yet ended up the gathering ended up with few group talking with their own thingy. LH and i were in the middile of the gang, so we listen to both whichever is interesting XD It was Sebastion's birthday too, so part of the program of the gathering is also his birthday celebration XD

After that, Linhui and i decided to shop at Alamanda as we were told that is the shopping centre nearest to MMU Cyberjaya. I think we took at least one hour to reach the shopping centre, at first i thought the shopping centre is at Cyberjaya, who knows it's exact location is Putrajaya Presint. 16. Ok, i should inform in advance, our main purpose of going Alamanda is to get a nice place, sit down for chit chatting.

However, we keep discussing on blazer design, so we enter G2000 to crave for some affordable and fashionable blazer....Then we passed by Polo apartment, the discount tag really tagged and stick us there for 3 hours....although we have limited budget, yet we manage to get ourself 2 formal shirt each which cost us in total RM288.

Yesterday i manage to get my beloved family members to take some convocation portraits. I know my grandmother feel touching and unbelievable on time flies as she keep reminding me that what i have done when i am in 2 years old.. My grandfather dress up formally which he never do. My mother and grandmother gift me lily bouquet as my convocation flower. Thanks a lot. I love u all...!! : )

I know it will be tedious for them as they will need to wake up at 3am and departing at 4am to ensure we will reach Cyberjaya at 7am to attend MY convocation. And i know the convocation will be a long-winded and boring one. So i would like to express my gradtitution to them all, grandparents, parents, KP, & brother and also my sisters. (Last year i can't even imagine i can have complete family graduation photo, thanks !!!)

Working Experience

During this 5 weeks working life, i experience a lot which really stunned me.

Some of them are :

1. When SM make mistake, they will never admit and will ask u back whose fault was that. They can actually put earlier date which showed they reviewed the file in 1 day instead of 5 days, then they will questioned u....why this file take 1 week to complete.

2. One of the colleague claimed to be my pal in the company. One day the pal came to me and complaint to me that one of the top management really behave biase towards us.

• I : Why?
• Pal: Because i just get scolded by top management due to some mistake done.
• I : .....??? U get scolded mean top management dislike 'us'??
• Pal : .......No la. (no explaination obtained, then she walked away)

I wonder how come i can be involved in the incident when i don't even know what happen, where and when is the incident take place.
