English or Mandarin?

Result for semester 3, 2008/2009 has been announced last thursday. I was delighted that i manage to pass all subjects including the subject (forensic accounting) which worry me the most. I really can't imagine how can i answer the question long winded without really understand what question requested. I have been worrying that subject ever since final.
Ok, back to internship program. For the past 1 week, i have been learning on auditing the dormant company, i won't know the outcome until the senior done reviewing part. Anyway, somehow i feel uneasy and learn nothing although i myself who deal with that company alone, quite some complicated feeling packed in my brain.......am i doing the right thing?
In facts i'm still confusing why should i do this and that, what i have done so far was just follow the last year report and some other extra or edited audit adjustment. Maybe i have weak accounting basic, i don't really understand why i have to do this and that....blablabla....
so confusing.....
Besides, i really worry my English speaking environment as most of the colleagues here don't really communicate english to each other. Most of their conversation are in mandarin, if i insist on my way, i will never get a way to mix with them. Not a single chance. For your information, Muar is a small town, their language usage mainly on Hokkien, mandarin or mix. What should i do now??!!!
p/s: no matter how, i must 'dig' a way out!
