Being an auditor, have to check most of the document to ensure the validity and its existence. Although i am only a trainee, i will be carrying this task also. I received a call from my senior Cath, i was assigned to carry my first duty as auditor to stock take at JB company. Let's talk about the stocktake has been occured last Saturday. It is a furniture company at JB. For your information, the main office is operated in Japan.
I will have to awake early at 6am in the morning to get myself ready and waiting for my colleague's arrival. It was kinda lazy being wake up at 6am especially it is Saturday which is not supposed to work normally. We departure at about 7am, enter Pagoh tol and fetch another senior colleague at Yong Peng tol as she is familiar with the operation and way to the company. She drove us and we reached our destination at 9.30am as promised.
Once we reached there and was introduced to the person in charge, Aishah, the general manager, person in charge of the warehouse, all production and etc. We start our work immediately. In facts, they were just starting their stock take that day. No choice, we have to follow their speed. I admit we did spend quite a longer time in the warehouse. As i not too familiar with what should be done practically, i vouched each of the take care items. And i was told we shouldn't count the inventory without the presence of person in charge as we are not going to bear any consequences for the loss of inventory.
After the lunch, i manage to shift my workjob into PM area, i did demand the person in charge to move some of their goods down from the upper level by using forklift, i too know they seem unreluctant, but it is also my job, i wouldn't know is it correct take card no and numbers of stock without count it properly. PM area did take me about 3 hours and production 1 subline area for 2 hours. After all the stock take count, we did interview their person in charge by seeking some inquiries.
From this experience, i realized that i have to learn on how to communicate with the person in charge in order to complete my duty. On the other way, i trying myself not to behave too formal while working with each of the person in charge.
p/s: The Japanese supervisor quite attractive and charming! haha.....
