Renew Passport

Last Sunday, i went to Jabatan Immigresen Malaysia - Malacca branch to renew my passport that is going to expired in November. I were told that even though my trip will be in this coming September but the the tolerable duration between the trip and expiry date should be equal or more than 6 months. No choice, i got to follow the STUPID rules.
I was told to get my passport done by next week. So, i planned to settle it on Sunday. Things are getting worst when i was told there will be school holiday next week onwards, meaning to say this weekend will be peak season for Jabatan Immigresen ???!!!
The operation on Saturday and Sunday starts from 8am, so kp and i reached there at around 8am and i saw a long queue. And.... and.... and.... our number is 53 and 55 respectively.
In addition, for those who applying for 5 years (costRM300) the renewal date will be starting from the expiry date; for those who applying for 2 years (RM100) the renewal date will be starting from the date you renew your passport. Therefore, in my case, i have wasted about 6 months as my effective date is counting from May instead of November as per my previous expiry date.
Here are some shots from Jabatan Immigresen Malaysia - Melaka branch (Ayer Keroh) for reference :
'The daily operation hour'
' Group passport'
' Criteria of the passport photo'
' You can obtain your new passport within 1 hour but you need to wait for your number and your turn for around 1 and a half hour.'
' This is what you need to bring when you are applying new passport or renew passport'
'The fees'
